2008 Manly Daily Northern Beaches Pairs

This inaugural event is open to pairs nominated by any of the ABF affiliated bridge clubs on Sydney's northern beaches. Each club can nominate up to three pairs to represent them.

The event is hosted each year by one of the northern beaches bridge clubs. In 2008 it is being hosted by the Manly Leagues Bridge Club and will be run over three consecutive Sundays 10, 17 and 24 August. The wiinning pair and their club will be determined by a simple addition of the three session percentage scores.

This event, sponsored by the Manly Daily, is one of the first key collaboration initiatives of the northern beaches clubs. The goal is to promote bridge across the peninsula in order to attract more people to this great mind game.

The event will be masterpointed as a red B5i event, designed for regional type competitions. Those pairs entering are invited to a light lunch before the start of play on the first Sunday - with this assisting friendship and connections between the different clubs.
