Over Your Shoulder Improver workshops with David Beauchamp and John McIlrath on Fridays in February:

  • 10 Feb - with John McIlrath — Partner opens 1NT, when do I use Stayman & Transfers - and how do I continue?
  • 17 Feb - with David Beauchamp - Developing the auction with rebids by opener and responder. Should we be in a partscore or game contract
  • 24 Feb - with David Beauchamp - Join in a competitive auction? How do I know if I should overcall or make a "take-out" double. What sort of hand am I showing partner with each bid?

Description

The North Shore Bridge Club runs a large number of sessions in dedicated premises at Club Willoughby. This venue offers free off road parking and close public transport (buses in Pensurst St), and pleasant playing environment in a licensed club that also offers drink and food services. The venue phone number is (02) 9411 3527. Sessions normally cost $10 for members and $12 for non-members. Annual membership of the North Shore Bridge Club, which also operates at The Willis (Chatswood North), is $60 per person.
